The replacement hub doesn't seat as flush as I would've liked to see. Scott was very responsive and tried their best to help, but after trying several suggestions, none of which seemed to help all that much, I decided it's not the end of the world and that I can live with it. I won't be spending my days looking up at the fan once I get accustomed to it being there, so it won't be all that noticeable especially when it's moving, and I can't imagine it'll impact performance very much. That said, I can imagine others being more annoyed with the uneven gap.

Now that I look up and see it in a certain angle of light, I also notice the finish is slightly off. It's a slight bit shinier than the blades, which makes it look like a slight mismatch in finish.

Maybe I'll change my mind in time, but would have preferred the light be brighter (I have a floor lamp I can dim for dimmer lighting). I also wasn't anticipating the difference in how my previous light fixture reflected off of the ceiling in addition to down. Because this light really only points down, the ceiling and the upper portions of walls/corners aren't very well lit. Might be worth keeping in mind that my installation is right at the minimum recommended height. Might not be as much of an issue if installed on a higher ceiling or in a smaller room; my studio is 12ft x 18ft. Also appreciating the previous light fixture's dome, which dispersed light better - because this bulb is bare, the light is harsh if you happen to look up at the fan.

For most people the dimming might be adequate, but I would prefer a much lower light output-- 100 lumens dimmable to 20 would be great. I just use the light for a bit of ambient fill-in lighting.

FWIW, if you have a light surface below the fan the ceiling reflections of the moving blades can be annoying.

These fans are stylish, quiet and very efficient. They greatly enhance the appeal of any room.
